About Phoenix

Hi, my name is Andie Ibarra and I am Phoenix’s mom! Phoenix came into my life when I was in chiropractic school, studying animal chiropractic. He is my first Boston and now I am obsessed with them!

I started this blog after having worked with many Boston Terriers as an animal chiropractor. I’m here to share all the funny quirks and characteristics of Boston Terriers.

Let me know if you have any specific questions I can answer! :)

Phoenix was born in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born with a broken shoulder and partial Swimmer’s Syndrome, so was not able to fully walk and have use of his legs.

His breeder turned him into a veterinarian who vaccinated him, and unfortunately found out he could not handle the vaccines because he started having an allergic reaction and seizuring.

His veterinarians then sought out the American Boston Terrier Rescue and Rehab in Dallas, TX., known for their ability to care for disabled and senior dogs. They partnered up with All Creatures Every Spine in Meridian, TX. who utilize animal chiropractic and holistic treatments to care for all of their patients. The veterinarians who own the company teach chiropractors and veterinarians all over the world about animal chiropractic.

Phoenix, along with the other Boston Terriers from his rescue, became model patients for all the students to practice on. It was here that I met Phoenix!

In 2017, I (Andie) was going through my animal chiropractic training. I met Phoenix and we instantly bonded. After my animal chiropractic program was complete, I became Phoenix’s foster mommy until he was old enough to be adopted.

We live in Dallas, TX. where Phoenix gets to help me treat my doggie patients at my practice, Dallas Animal Chiropractic. Phoenix has two other siblings, Leo and Lindsey, who are both loud mouthed Chihuahuas. They live everyday like its a party and have a blast going on their daily walks and adventures!
